Engine Plan: trial by fire - 19th August 2005

With the bug still at OCC and I feel a bit like a spare part at the moment. So I have decided to learn a bit more about the VW engine. I have just acquired a 1600 engine that, although is throwing oil will be a great base to take a part, and put back together again. I might even add a few things and create a 1641. I have never done anything like this before and am looking forward to the experience. Will keep a record and engine diary as soon as I have done the deal to get the block.

Also you have probably noticed the site has gone through a cosmetic revamp. I thought as the car is progressing along the Cocoa line. I would reflect this in the site design. I have loads of new pictures to put up also so watch this space and over the next couple of weeks I will add ALL the pictures of the rebuild from start to finish. Enjoy.
